We are urging all people who cannot attend a candlelight vigil or who do not have one taking place near them to share in "A Moment in our Hearts, A Moment of Solidarity" by holding their own "Home Vigil" and light a candle in their home for at least 15 minutes, on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 7:30 pm, the same date and time the public candelight vigils will be taking place.

A "Home Vigil" can be held by anyone, it can be held by a single person living alone, and include as few or as many people as you wish, so please invite as many people as you like, including your family and friends! Please also spread the word about "Home Vigils" to everyone you know, and encourage your family and friends to participate in your "Home Vigil", or to get involved by holding their own "Home Vigil"! Please contact Patti Diroff, International Coordinator to let us know if you will be holding a "Home Vigil" by using the sign up link in the main page to the left.

IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU PROVIDE ALL THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IN THE SIGN UP LINK WHEN SIGNING UP. Responses which are incomplete cannot be counted and included in the Internnational Press Release. Please copy the numbered list of information items which appear in the link and copy this list into your email response to use as a checklist when emailing your response, to ensure that your response includes each item of information requested.

It is stresed that EVERY HOME VIGIL COUNTS.  HOME VIGILS ARE VERY IMPORTANT in strengthening the message being sent by our candlelight vigils. 

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE WHO IS NOT ATTENDING A PUBLIC CANDLELIGHT VIGIL TO HOLD THEIR OWN HOME VIGIL, OR PARTICIPATE IN A HOME VIGIL BEING HELD BY SOMEONE ELSE.
